Use these teacher resources to make social studies content accessible to ELL students. The three books, designed to support each title in the Living in the United States Series, offer teaching strategies and reproducible activity sheets for use with ELL students. The teaching strategies build background knowledge and support the content of each title in the series. Each book includes a lesson plan that supports each section of the corresponding Student Text. Every lesson plan includes content and language objectives, key vocabulary words, suggestions for teaching specific vocabulary words, specific instructional strategies, and reproducible follow-up activities.
