SummerVentures-Mathematics targets the critical academic gaps and delivers a flexible course of study in mathematics in six units to help adolescent students acquire the most vital skills they have not yet mastered. Students develop skills by:

Engages the Learner
The SummerVentures-Mathematics Student Edition builds student success and motivation using research-based strategies, including scaffolded instruction and social collaboration. Topics such as estimating outdoor temperatures, shopping at the mall, or paying a restaurant bill place students' learning in real-world contexts.

Supports the Teacher
The SummerVentures-Mathematics Teacher's Edition is comprehensive and easy to use. Each unit has an overview for all lessons in the unit with Lesson Summary, Lesson Objective, Academic Vocabulary, Assessment Options, and Notes to Support All Learners for differentiated instruction. Each lesson contains a reduced version of each student page with clear, step-by-step instructions, alternate teaching strategies, and more.

Assessment
SummerVentures-Mathematics provides a one-hour pretest to determine students' entry level of understanding and a parallel post-test to measure growth. Formative assessments are embedded in each lesson. The ExamView Assessment Suite* contains all pretests and post-tests in electronic format allowing teachers to run reports and capture data.

Flexible Implementation
SummerVentures-Mathematics can be implemented after school, in summer school, or anytime students need extra instruction.
