VoiceSymbol Software enables you to create customized touch screen communication boards on an iPad!
Quickly and easily create your own touch screen communication boards for the iPad or iPad 2 using the new VoiceSymbol Software Deluxe (VSS Deluxe). Simply install the software on a PC, select from over 60 templates, drop your symbols into the cells, save, and sync your new board to your iPad and you are ready to go. The VSS database has 40,000+ recorded English words. If several symbols have been selected to create a sentence, the sentence may be spoken as a single unit by selecting "speak." You can copy, edit, combine, and store your created boards to provide options that meet your needs. The fully featured software offers 31 grammar markers, singular and plural symbols, and more, using the modified Fitzgerald Key.
The V-pen
The VSS Deluxe may also be installed on a PC to print out your created boards with invisible code for use with the "talking" V-pen (sold separately), which speaks the words on the board. The V-pen uses two AAA batteries (not included). VoiceSymbol Software Basic (VSS Basic) is available to create customized communication boards without invisible code, which the student uses by pointing to the cells.
The V-pen reads invisible code printed on plain paper. No special paper is required. When printing out a board, a compatible printer is required to ensure proper functioning of the V-pen, VoiceSymbol Software, and VoiceInk Software. The printer bundled here is a Canon Pixma ip100 Inkjet Printer. For best results, printing should be a minimum of 600dpi and use the manufacturer's recommended ink.
Make Any MS Word Document Speak on Your iPad
When you purchase VoiceInk Software Deluxe and sync it to your iPad, you may take any document saved into MS Word (2003 and above), import it into VoiceInk, and use the touch screen to read the document aloud. VoiceInk Deluxe may also be installed on a PC to print the imported Word document with invisible code to be read with the V-pen.
