Books
Each of these novels features action-packed story lines with mysterious and colorful characters. Several teenage protagonists help solve the mysteries and appear throughout the series. Readers will relate to the adventures and experiences of these teenage "sleuths."
Written for struggling and reluctant readers, these novels are written at a 3.0-5.0 reading level; presented in a large, readable font; and broken into short, manageable chapters. In addition to building an interest in reading, these books present great opportunities to develop students' vocabulary and reading comprehension skills.
Teacher’s Guide
These 66-page reproducible guides cover all five books in a Set and include the following for each book: discussion questions, quizzes, activity sheets, and a book test. Discussion questions and quizzes can be used while the students read the book to ensure comprehension of key events and details.
After the students have finished reading each book, the activity sheets can be used to further develop reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. The test provides effective ways to measure students' understanding of the books' major events and themes.
