Overview - LOOK N COOK DVD SET
The Look 'n Cook Program is a fun and engaging curriculum to help students of all ages and reading levels learn cooking basics. The colorful cookbook features step-by-step basic recipes that create a great foundation for cooking independence.
Look 'n Cook Cookbook features recipe illustrations that are clear, concise and easy to "read." Each picture step has accompanying text. A color-coding system makes it easy to follow measurement and temperature requirements. The cookbook has laminated pages and a wipe-clean vinyl easel binder.
Look 'n Cook Lesson Plans Book includes 40 lessons teaching kitchen safety, cooking techniques and nutrition using the recipes in Look `n Cook Cookbook. Each lesson lists objectives, materials needed and procedures with teaching suggestions. Recipe pages are available on the PDF file for extra printouts.
Look 'n Cook DVD Set is a great companion to the Look `n Cook Program.
• DVD One contains the collection of all 62 recipes in the collection. Each dish made is shot from the point of view of the chef. Cooking steps are demonstrated with live-action video. Each recipe is presented as a separate movie, about 2 minutes long. These DVDs may be used as an interactive teaching tool or as a preview before students start cooking.
• DVD Two features Madeline Merced, a host on TasteTV and covers important cooking concepts: Safety First, Food Words, Kitchen Tools and Cooking Hygiene.
