Includes Dozens of Miniatures.
Build phonemic awareness skills and letter and sound recognition in Grades
PreK-2. Teach discrimination between similar sounds and the connection of sounds
to letters. Target sounds are easy to isolate because most words contain a single
syllable. Focuses on beginning, middle, and ending sounds; words that rhyme;
and letter/sound correspondence.
Features The program features four sound sorting kits: Consonant Sounds,
Vowel Sounds, Word Families, and Blends and Digraphs. Complete set includes
300 objects organized by individual sound; sorting mats; labels; cards with
a target sound and illustration; Yes/No cards; Sound Sorting guidebook; and
letter/sound poster (17" x 22"). Guidebook details how to set up,
manage, and assess sound sorting activities, and outlines a developmental sequence
of sorting activities.
