Overview - READING COMPREHENSION PRACTICE SET OF FOUR
Engage struggling readers with these high-interest fiction and nonfiction reading activities. Based on the popular Reading Comprehension Cards, these books offer the same stories in an easy-to-use, reproducible format.
Each book includes 100 short reading passages followed by reading comprehension questions that address core reading skills. For each of the 10 core skills, 10 passages are included. The passages are written at a 1.0 to 4.0 Spache reading level, and the passages gradually increase in difficulty from book to book.

With 100 stories covering 10 basic reading strategies and skills, this set of reproducible reading practice is a needed supplementary resource for any reading elementary or middle school reading class. The reading passages are nonfiction and fiction covering a variety of high interest topics. My students enjoyed reading the variety of stories and learning new information while applying their knowledge of one of the 10 reading strategies. In test prep format, students learn strategies and gain the practice of completing multiple question test-format activities. I read the stories with my struggling readers and some of my level 1 ESL students, but my regular ed students complete the reading passages and activities independently. Easily used in centers, independent reading, or small group reading to check for comprehension and application of the skills, this set of four books is a great resource to supplement your reading curriculum.
