These five lively reading programs come in the form of high-interest, comprehension
games sure to keep your students entertained and involved as they learn important
language arts skills. The games are an ideal supplement to any curriculum because
they involve both learning and review.
Each game offered in two Reading Levels.
LEVEL 1 GAMES: Reading Level 2.0-3.5
LEVEL 2 GAMES: Reading Level 3.5-5.0
Each game focuses on a particular skill, featured in parenthesis:
Around the World (Main Idea).
For 2-6 players, this game is great fun for students as they take a trip around
the world while reinforcing reading skills. Players read stories and choose
the correct main idea from three choices. The learning objective is to identify
the sentence that best states the main idea of a given paragraph. The object
of the game is to be the first player to travel around the world.

Sequence (What Comes First?).
For up to 12 players, this high interest, low vocabulary game challenges students to arrange cards in the proper sequence before their time runs out. The learning objective is to be able to piece a set of four cards in correct sequential order. The object of the game is to be the player who earns the most points, earned each time a set of cards is arranged correctly.

Time Capsule (Ten Reading Skills).
For 2-6 players, 10 reading skills are covered including Main Idea and Context Clues. The object of the game is to visit five time zones out of the following ten: Prehistoric, Ancient Civilization, Middle Ages, Age of Discovery, Industrial Revolution, Between World Wars, Recent Past, Present, Future, and Distant Future. The first player to drop off a "ring" at each zone and return to the present wins.

Starwords (Vocabulary Building).
For 2-6 players, traveling in space makes vocabulary building fun as players travel to Granada and back to Earth. Vocabulary questions must be answered along the way. Vocabulary cards contain 288 words with three choices for each.

Inference (School Days).
For 2-6 players, the object of the game is to be the first player to go from grammar school through college while answering inference questions. Players read story cards and draw the correct inference from three choices.
