Everyday Life Skills is a comprehensive, career development program
for high school students making the transition to postsecondary life. This full-color,
easy-to-read textbook and video series focus on the important "how to live and work" issues not always covered by regular curricular materials. From
maintaining a healthy body and a safe home to finding and keeping a job, Everyday
Life Skills prepares young adults for a successful life after high school.

Student Workbook (softcover) uses interesting stories and clear, concise
instruction to reinforce fundamental independent living skills. The Workbook
also features a variety of activities that extend and reinforce textbook lessons.
A free Pocket Guide, "Tips for Surviving on Your Own," offers tips
on nutrition and fitness, home safety, clothing care, interviewing, community
involvement, and more. The Pocket Guide is available with the workbook only.
Student Interactive CD software provides self-guided, interactive reinforcement
for the lessons learned in the Everyday Life Skills text. Video clips, narrative
instruction, and question and answer sessions focus on critical life lessons,
such as:
Making healthy food choices
Handling an emergency
Dealing with emotions
Interviewing for a job
Finding an appointment
Setting up bank accounts
Community involvement
Students practice making choices and receive immediate feedback from this high-interest
