Overview - READING MENTOR HEADPHONES
Engage students of all learning styles with a multisensory approach that allows them to build, hear, and see words. Provides an aural mode to instantly reinforce and improve comprehension and pronunciation. Integrates phonemic awareness, phonics, listening, speaking, and other reading skills. Headphones are sold separately.
HOW IT WORKS After sliding Reading Rods into the Reading Mentor, students will hear letters, words, or sentences they have built. They will also read them on the screen. Arrow keys allow toggling to what students need to practice.
ACTIVITY CARD TITLES Letters and Sounds cards cover topics including uppercase and lowercase letters, sounds, letter-sound relationships, and more. Word Families/Rhyming Words cards cover concepts such as onsets and rimes, and identifying key spelling patterns. Word Building cards cover topics including short and long vowels, and consonant blends and digraphs. Sentence Building cards teach sentence writing and more.
