Overview - STUDY TOOLS CURRICULUM
Study Tools Curriculum was developed to teach study strategies to students with special needs who are included in general education classes and their teachers. The strategies are presented in a format that is practical and relevant for students and time-saving for teachers. This curriculum can be modified to fit any grade level and adapted to fulfill any student's individual needs.
Nine chapters offer comprehensive guides to teachers and lessons for students. Study resources include questionnaires, study sheets, activities, various forms, and lessons that can be presented on a board or overhead. The three-ring binder facilitates removal of materials for reproduction. The workbook concludes with a section on Answers/References.
Lessons contain objectives, materials needed, notes to the teacher, introduction notes, teaching strategies, and conclusion/review highlights. Reproducible forms include a Progress Report, Student Information Sheet, Study Skills Questionnaire, Long Term Goals, Test Preparation Form, and more.

Includes using abbreviations and symbols, clue words, and recording class lectures.
Chapter 8: The Writing Process.
Includes planning, making outlines, drafting ideas, rewriting, and proofreading.
Chapter 9: Using SQ3R with Textbook.
Includes understanding reading habits, using SQ3R using the survey, question, and reading steps, and recite and review.
