Safety Skills for Transitioning Students
Ideal for transition students with development disabilities, this 162-page book features 26 illustrated stories that cover essential safety skills. Each illustrated 4- to 6-page story features adult characters and low-level text.
Teachers can read the story to the class, and students follow along using printouts from the PDFs on the included Mac/Win CD. Stories end with study questions and basic vocabulary definitions.
Software
Reads the stories aloud while text is highlighted word by word, line by line, or by complete sentence. A test at the end of each story provides speech support and an optional hint feature that directs students to the page that addresses each question. Compatible with mouse, touch screen, IntelliKeys, or single switch.
