Classrooms come alive with Touchdown Math interactive software. Learners
reinforce key math concepts in a fun, fast-paced environment. Stimulating sounds,
engaging graphics and entertaining animation motivates students as they master
concepts.
OBJECTIVE:
The object of the program is to score touchdowns by moving the football down
the field and across your opponent''s goal. Students have four plays to move
the ball 10 yards. If the player does not gain 10 yards, the opponent gets the
ball. Correct answers gain yardage, first downs, touchdowns, and extra points.
Incorrect answers allow the loss of yards, or the defense to take over. Each
multimedia titles includes a coach with animated tutorials.
Teachers easily track student progress, set time limits for answering problems,
adjust total playing time, and establish mathematical parameters for easy, medium
and hard problems. The Record Keeping feature allows teachers to record difficulty
level, number of problems attempted, and number of problems correct. With the
Data command, teachers can add, edit, view, print, and clear individual student
records. Additional features allow you to turn time limits, calculator, record
keeping, and sound on or off. Problems can be pre-selected by teachers or selected
by students.
Each title offers a wide range of carefully selected skills. A time-out feature
provides struggling students with helpful step-by-step tutorials led by a coach.
On each play, players may choose a running play (easy problem), short pass (medium
problem), long pass (hard problem), or punt.
