Overview - ILLUSTRATED CLASSICS THE TIME MACHINES READ-ALONG
The world's most familiar and beloved works of literature come to life in the Illustrated Classics read-along sets. The colorful, high-interest books encourage even reluctant or struggling readers to enjoy standard classics that are taught in middle and high school classrooms. Each text, written and adapted by teachers and researchers, has been edited to a reading level of 4.6 to 5.2 using the Dale-Chall vocabulary system. The motivating series is based on the premise that everyone, regardless of reading level, deserves to read the best in literature.
The full-color, beautifully illustrated 62-page books are written in comic-book style and format, yet contain key literary phrases and quotations from the original works. Much time and effort went into ensuring that the readers retain all of the excitement, intrigue, and adventure of the original books, as well as stay true to the style of the author.
